At Cycle 4 Life Bike Shop in Banner Elk, North Carolina, our philosophy is a simple one.  If we help you find the bike to best fit your needs & desires, then you will ride it more often.  If you ride your bike more often, you will help yourself physically and mentally and this will also help our planet.  So by building the perfect bike for you, we are Helping You to Help Yourself

Group rides every Sunday at 3 PM.
Rides will begin again Spring 2010
These are routes that everyone can enjoy.  If you feel like you would enjoy having someone help you ride stronger, then stop by and let us help.  If you want to race around we can set up a route so you can start with everyone and help out our less experienced riders at the start, and then you can take off and race to the finish.

Everyone is welcome!!!

Sporting the LMC colors at a Short Track race in Charlotte.  Spent 4 years coaching the Lees-McRae team.  Grew the team into the number one team in Div I cycling.  Along the way we won 6 National Team titles and 15 individual titles.

Cycling is a passion for so many.
I have enjoyed many years of coaching the
local college teams here in the high country.
The joy on their faces when they win those National Titles is priceless.
So is the joy on the face as you climb that big mountain you have been training for, ridden that narly trail you have been practicing for
or just getting out on a beautiful day and riding.

Living Life to its fullest is our calling and enjoying our time outside in any capacity is enjoying the amazing gift GOD gave us in this planet.
Cycling is, I believe the best way to reach out and enjoy this world.
So come visit us in Banner Elk, NC and
let us help you to find that happy place inside you and
be the kid you can be while riding your bike!

Sporting the Appalachian colors at Cross Nationals in 2008.  This would be my last National championship as a racer.  Worked with the Appalachian State University team in 2008 and 2009 and helped them to win two National Team titles and two Individual National titles.  Became the first coach in college cycling to lead teams
from two different schools to national titles.
Second on the all time win list behind Rick Crawford.
